LABOR DOULA SERVICES

initial interview provided at no cost or obligation; references available.

sliding scale fee of $400-$700 includes***

  • 2 prenatal meetings
  • assistance in gathering information and in preparing a birth plan, if desired
  • access to lending library
  • 24-hr on-call availability 2 weeks before the baby's due date
  • backup Doula provided upon request
  • phone support in early labor; in-person support once active labor begins, at home and/or at the birth site
  • support for the baby's father or other birth partner
  • advocacy for the mother's wishes and her birth plan; provision of support and guidance in the case of unforeseen developments
  • miscellaneous services at the birth; ex: liaison between mother and family and friends, photographer/videographer, "gopher"
  • early breastfeeding support
  • postpartum phone/email support; referrals to local and informational resources as needed
  • parting gift for the new addition!
 *** clients are asked to determine what they feel they can pay within this range; please contact Robyn to discuss options if the fee does not fit into your budget at this time, because no mother desiring labor support should do without!
